Information you submit
When you request an auto insurance quote, we collect the contact and insurance information you enter, including each listed driver’s name, date of birth, sex, marital status, driver’s license state and number, phone number, and email address, plus one household street address, city, state, and ZIP code. We also collect vehicle year, make, model, and VIN, the number of drivers and vehicles, current insurance status, coverage preferences, requested timing, and SR-22 needs.
When you complete the first contact step and click Continue to Driver Details, your name, phone number, email address, and contact permission are saved and sent to our team. We may contact you about your quote even if you do not complete the driver and vehicle questions. Typing alone does not submit the contact step. Additional driver and vehicle information is submitted when you complete the second step.
How your request is used
California Auto Insurance uses this information to review your request, contact you about it, and help you compare coverage options. Coverage is subject to insurer acceptance and confirmation of the policy’s effective date.
Storage and website services
Quote requests, including driver and vehicle details, are stored in the website’s WordPress database for review by authorized site administrators. Completed quote requests are also emailed to our agency for review. These emails include the contact and household information, all submitted driver details (including dates of birth and driver’s license numbers), vehicle details (including VINs), coverage preferences, and contact permission. Our email service processes these notifications. Our website hosting and form services process information to operate the site and receive requests. Technical information such as IP address, browser information, submission time, and referring page may also be recorded for site operation and spam prevention.
Your choices
Provide information about another driver only with permission. Do not provide Social Security numbers or payment information through this quote form. To request a correction, ask about deletion, stop contact about your request, or raise a privacy question, call (855) 231-0001.
